omni LALA® , incorporated in 2003, develops and sells innovative digital media and computer network products and services for both the residential and commercial market. Their feature-rich, easy-to-use products integrate seamlessly with a variety of audio and video systems to provide almost unlimited entertainment options for virtually any requirement.

Omnilala has developed products and solutions and licenses software and hardware solutions that power a new wave of digital media devices and computer networks. Product examples include:

  • Music servers (e.g., the lala®500 and lala®1000)
  • Music players (e.g., the lala® Player)
  • Internet radio  (e.g., Shoutcast, Radio Time and Reciva interfaces)

Sharon Harris has a history of building strong teams that deliver award-winning, easy-to-use software products to the market on time. As VP of Software at Web.com, she managed Trellix Site Builder, a highly scalable SaaS application. At Lotus she managed development on the award winning Freelance Graphics product. As a software engineer, she designed and developed real time control software and desktop applications.

  Michael Spaly, MSI, has designed and developed software interfaces for over 8 years. Michael's expertise lies in developing interfaces that are simple to grasp for all levels of computer users. Michael gained a masters degree in Human Computer Interaction, focusing on Usability. Since then, he has worked closely with many organizations to create software applications that help enable their day-to-day business processes.
Jonah Probell
Jonah Probell,
Multimedia Systems Engineer
  Jonah Probell works for Tensilica as Multimedia Systems Engineer. He is a friendly expert in digital video system architecture and chip design for consumer electronics. Jonah began his career as a RISC-DSP processor core designer at Lexra. Later he co-founded Ultra Data where he was an architect and the principle implementer of the world’s first programmable video DSP core capable of multi-standard full HD video decode. Jonah has also worked, briefly, at Teradyne, Micronas, Omnilala, ARC International, and briefly as a consultant for developers of chips, IP cores, codecs, and end user digital video products. He has published many articles and presented technical papers on video, processors, and DSP design.

Working For Omnilala

We are looking for full- or part-time experienced software developers for the design and implementation of media management applications.

Skills should include experience in developing commercial and consumer electronics products; a variety of Linux servers and players, software C programming for embedded 32-bit environments.

Other skills should include, among others, Java, JavaScript, C++, Perl, XML, and SQL, DRAM

Prior experience using tools such as My Sql, CVS, Tomcat, Apache, and programming multithreading XML, DON, familiarity with the Java class library, especially java.io, java.util, java.net packages and CGO.
